Terms of Service

By accessing or using Event Translate ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Event Translate provides AI-powered real-time voice translation services for multilingual events, conferences, religious gatherings, and similar occasions. The Service uses a hybrid AI pipeline combining self-hosted and third-party speech recognition, translation, and voice synthesis technologies to deliver low-latency translated audio to event attendees.

You must be at least 18 years of age, or have obtained parental or guardian consent, to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

• All activity that occurs under your account

• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

If you use the Service as an event organiser, you agree to:

(a) Inform attendees: Disclose to all participants that their speech may be captured and processed by AI systems for translation purposes.

(b) Obtain consent: Ensure all participants have consented to such processing before the Service is used.

(c) Cloned Voice Consent: If you enable any AI voice feature based on a specific individual's voice ("cloned voice"), you must obtain and retain explicit written consent from that individual before use, and provide evidence of such consent to Event Translate upon request.

(d) Scope restriction: You must not use the Service to create, store, or distribute voice clones for any purpose outside the scope of the translation service.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation

• Process speech containing illegal content, hate speech, harassment, or material that infringes third-party rights

• Circumvent or interfere with the security or integrity of the Service

• Resell or sublicense the Service without prior written authorisation from Event Translate

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract AI models or source code

The Service is available under three plans:

(a) On-demand Credits: Purchase credits consumed based on usage (e.g. per minute of translation). Credits do not expire unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Unused credits are non-refundable.

(b) Monthly Subscription: Access to the Service for a recurring monthly fee, billed in advance. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the next renewal date. Refunds are not provided for partial months.

(c) Enterprise Contract: Custom pricing and terms agreed in a separate written agreement, which may include a Service Level Agreement (SLA), priority support, and volume discounts. The terms of the enterprise contract prevail over these Terms where there is a conflict.

All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes.

The Service, including all AI models, software, interfaces, and documentation, is the exclusive property of Event Translate and its licensors. Your original speech content remains your property. You grant Event Translate a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your voice data solely for the purpose of delivering the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any translation output.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Event Translate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Event Translate and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at contact@eventranslate.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any unused credits or prepaid subscription fees, except where required by law.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We will notify you of material changes to these Terms at least 30 days before they take effect, via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
